Stay
About the destination: Seoul is the capital of South Korea. Exuding Asian charm from every brick, Seoul is a very modern city yet traditional. There is a lot to see and do in this vibrant city; it offers many worthy sights, delicious gastronomy, architecture, nightlife, museums, culture, entertainment, shopping, and open spaces to satisfy any visitor. The Hangang River separates Seoul into two distinct areas, north and south. The city lies in a natural basin, surrounded by the Hanbuk Mountain Range and a series of hills, offering magnificent scenic beauty that is one of Seoul’s major appeals. As the ancient seat of Korea's royalty, there are many palaces and fortresses spread throughout the city. Some of the most important are the Gyeongbok-gung, the Changdeok-gung, and the Deoksu-gung. There are also many temples and shrines devoted to the royal family members of Korean dynasties and to the Jogye order of Buddhism, the dominant branch of Buddhism in Korea. Two of the major Buddhist temples in the city are the Jogye Temple and the Bongeun Temple. There are several parks throughout the city and some fantastic hiking opportunities on the outskirts of the city center. Exciting and colorful, traditional and modern, Seoul is never boring.

4. Hanoi
Stay
About the destination: Hanoi, Vietnam's capital and its second largest city, is one of the most enchanting cities in Asia with a unique personality. Years of foreign occupation have left an imprint on this city, as evidenced by the intriguing museums, historical buildings, pagodas, mausoleum, and its own French quarter, all of which contribute to the city's distinctive ambiance. The best way to familiarize yourself with Hanoi is by foot. The historical center isn't very large, and many attractions are located there or in the immediate vicinity. Walking is the best way to interact with the friendly locals. Hanoi is known as a city of lakes due to the numerous lakes and trees scattered throughout the city. The largest lake is the West Lake, Ho Tay, and the most famous in the city center is the Lake of the Restored Sword, Ho Hoan Kiem. What's beautiful about Hanoi is the interesting architectural contrasts, ranging from the traditional old buildings of the Old Quarter to the grand European-style buildings of the French Quarter to the Communist monuments at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and surrounding areas. Not to mention the beautiful traditional architecture of its temples, such as the Quan Su Pagoda. Hanoi is a city of both peace and hustle, bustling with street life and exotic markets, yet serene around the tranquil pagodas and temples. The City of the Soaring Dragon is a must-visit destination in Vietnam.

9. Da Nang
Stay
About the destination: Da Nang is one of the primary port cities in Vietnam and the largest city on the South Central Coast of Vietnam; the city is located on the coast of the Eastern Sea, at the mouth of the Hàn River. Da Nang serves as the commercial and educational hub of Central Vietnam, with a well-protected, easily accessible port; its position on National Route 1A and the North–South Railway makes it a central point for transportation and it is the third largest economic center in Vietnam. MAIN TOURIST ATTRACTIONS • Cham Museum. Established in 1915 by the French School of the Far East, it showcases a collection of stone sculptures from the Hindu-practicing Cham civilization, which inhabited much of central Vietnam from the first millennium AD until about the 14th century. • Marble Mountains. • Ba Na Hill Station. Ba Na was once a 1920's French resort that boasted 200 villas, restaurants, and clubs. Its mild climate, pristine forest, and breathtaking views of the South China Sea and the Lao mountain range made Ba Na a favored retreat for both the French and the affluent Vietnamese. • Cham Island • Linh Ung Buddhist Temple. • Bach Ma National Park. • Dragon Bridge. Near the giant ferris wheel on the Han River, there is a bridge with a massive metal dragon incorporated into it. At night it changes colors, and on Sunday nights around 8:30pm it spews fire and water.

10. Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)
Stay
About the destination: Ho Chi Minh City, previously known as Saigon, is the biggest city in Vietnam. It's a contemporary, vibrant, and bustling city. It's economically dynamic, teeming with lively markets, and is undeniably the country's commercial hub. Despite being the most modern city in the country, it maintains a distinct Vietnamese essence and remnants of its illustrious Colonial past as the former "pearl of the orient" are still visible. In the heart of the city, which locals still fondly call Saigon, you'll find some of the city's main attractions such as the Opera house, railway station, Notre Dame cathedral, Reunification Palace, the Saigon river, and the Markets. If you need a break from the city, you can take a tour to the Mekong Delta or to Da Lat, if you have more time. Da Lat, situated in the highlands about 300km from the city, is worth the journey as there's plenty to see and do including waterfalls, gardens, the old French Quarter, and local restaurants serving fantastic local cuisine. Vietnam's commercial and financial center is an exhilarating and fascinating sprawling metropolis that strives to preserve the lifestyle and culture of this magnificent country.
